We know that gender-based violence is a problem, and we want to support survivors in our lives, but there’s a lot of stigma and silence around gender-based violence in our society: too many people who experience abuse are shamed, silenced, and stigmatized, and too many people don’t feel confident and competent in supporting them. This is a podcast featuring interviews with survivors and experts, we’ll explore how everyday people can better support survivors of gender-based violence.
Queering Gender-Based Violence Prevention & Response in Canada
This report presents the findings from a literature review, focus group, and interviews on what we know about the scale and scope of GBV impacting 2SLGBTQ+ communities, looking at the experiences of queer and trans Black, Indigenous and people of colour, refugees and newcomers, trans+ people, queer women, youth, sex workers, and people living rurally or remotely. This report then turns to existing violence prevention programs and points to the gaps and needs.
Resetting Normal Report 5: The Impacts of COVID-19 on First Nations, Metis and Inuit Youth
This report sheds light on the realities of Indigenous girls, two-spirit, and gender diverse youth. It explores the impact of the pandemic on Indigenous youth and gender-based violence, and shares recommendations for how to better serve First Nations, Métis and Inuit youth moving forward.

Sexual Assault Services in a Pandemic: Adaptation, Innovation and Lessons Learned
This is a submission to B.C’s Special Committee on Reforming the Police Act highlighting state failures to protect girls and young women from violence as the root cause of girls’ homelessness, institutionalization and criminalization. This submission calls for the decriminalization of teen girls entirely, operating from the knowledge that their involvement in the criminal justice system is rooted in their efforts to protect themselves.
Queering GBV Prevention and Intervention: A Toolkit for Service Providers
This toolkit provides a backgrounder and tips for feminist and GBV organizations to address and strengthen intersectional GBV approaches that is inclusive to 2SLGBTQ+ people.
